A. PRAYER FOR AUGUST

For Lasting Peace in Armenia and the Reconciliation of Society Lasting Peace in Armenia, and Throughout the World 1. Pray for enduring peace in our homeland—for the calming of tensions, the healing of wounds, and the flourishing of a just and secure society. Pray the peoples of Palestine and Ukraine, and all regions suffering from war and violence. A Prayer for August: Lasting Peace in Armenia and Reconciliation Pray for achieving lasting peace in Armenia, fostering societal reconciliation, and extending compassion to other conflict zones. It emphasizes the importance of calming tensions, healing wounds, and building a just and secure society, not only in Armenia but also globally. The Prayer's Core Message Pray for peace and reconciliation, both within Armenia and across the world. It highlights the interconnectedness of global peace and the need for empathy and support for those suffering from conflict in other regions, such as Palestine and Ukraine. The prayer calls for a transformation of society, moving from conflict and suffering towards justice and security. The Beatitudes in Matthew 5:9 ("Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God") Isaiah 9:6 ("For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace") and Micah 4:3 ("And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths"). Decflarations: for peace , healing and reconciliation , forgiveness and love for one's enemies in Jesus name ,amen . Pray for Palestine and Ukraine for peace. Pray for the Armenia–Azerbaijan borders, that the tensions will stop, and the situation will no longer be fragile in Jesus name ,amen . Pray for a just, dignified, and sustainable peace to emerge through diplomatic efforts. We give thanks for all those involved in peacebuilding, and ask the Abba Father that all parties respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Armenia in Jesus name ,amen . “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.” — Matthew 5:9 • Reconciliation within Society Pray for healing from political, social, and generational divisions—for mutual understanding, forgiveness, and the restoration of national unity. Declare: “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” — Ephesians 4:32 • Release of Prisoners Pray for the release of all those unjustly detained or politically imprisoned—both in the prisons of Baku and within Armenia—that justice, mercy, and human dignity may prevail. Declare: “The Lord sets the prisoners free; the Lord gives sight to the blind, the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down.” — Psalm 146:7–8 • Wisdom for Leaders Ask that the Holy Spirit may guide the leaders of Armenia with humility, justice, and courage to act for the good of all in Jesus name ,amen . Declare: “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God... and it will be given to him.” — James 1:5 • Strength for the Church Pray that the Armenian Church may continue to be a pillar of light and hope, and that clergy and faithful may remain steadfast in faith and mission. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” — Matthew 5:14 Pray to all the lands torn by war and division, especially Palestine and Ukraine. Heal the divisions within Armenian society, and guide our people in truth and love. Pray for the release of all prisoners held unjustly, and for justice to reign in the hearts of all. May we be instruments of reconciliation, builders of peace, and faithful witnesses of your light in our homeland and throughout the world. Amen, In Jesus name ,Amen !

C. Prayers for Armenian Youth. These prayers focus on the spiritual, emotional, and social well-being of Armenian youth, recognizing the unique challenges and opportunities they face. They are designed to be adaptable for personal or group prayer. Spiritual Growth and Faith Pray that Armenian youth will have a deep and abiding faith in Abba Father , rooted in a strong understanding of the Armenian Apostolic Church's traditions and teachings. Ask for guidance of the Holy Spirit in discerning God's will for their lives. Pray for protection from negative influences and temptations that could lead them away from their faith. Ask Abba Father for strength to resist peer pressure and to stand firm in their beliefs. Pray that Armenian youth will find mentors and role models who can guide and support them in their spiritual journey. Ask for opportunities for them to connect with other young people of faith. Pray that young people will develop a strong sense of their identity as Armenian Christians, understanding their heritage and the significance of their faith within their culture. Emotional Well-being and Resilience Pray for the emotional well-being of Armenian youth, asking for protection from anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. Pray for access to resources and support if needed. Pray for resilience in the face of adversity, helping them to overcome challenges and setbacks with strength and hope. Ask for God's comfort and peace in times of difficulty. Pray for healthy relationships with family and friends, providing opportunities for connection, support, and understanding. Ask for the Holy Spirit's guidance in navigating conflict and building strong bonds. Education and Future Success Pray for success in their education, asking for wisdom, diligence, and perseverance in their studies. Pray for opportunities to develop their talents and pursue their passions. Pray that Armenian youth will find fulfilling careers that allow them to use their gifts and contribute to society. Ask for guidance of the Holy Spirit in making important life decisions. Pray for opportunities for personal and professional growth, helping them to develop their skills and reach their full potential. Service and Contribution to Society Pray that Armenian youth will be inspired to serve others and make a positive impact on their communities and the world. Ask for opportunities for them to volunteer and contribute their talents. Pray for a sense of responsibility and civic engagement, encouraging them to participate in the life of their country and to work for justice and peace. Pray that they will be agents of positive change, using their skills and talents to build a better future for Armenia and the world.
